The Imperial Armory is a small company, dedicated and focused in offering only the higher quality reproduction Japanese swords that are available on the market today. We do not sell swords because they look fancy or because they look like they are worth allot of money. We sell functional Japanese swords that are designed and have been proven to be fully functional, battle ready and can be used for practical applications, practice and cutting. We also sell a small line of quality wooden swords (bokken). We do not sell display swords.

        There are thousands of different Japanese katana from hundreds of different forges all over the world. There is a countless number of resellers on the internet that sell swords that look very similar to each other and vary greatly in price range. Because of this we have sampled and sorted though many swords made from forges worldwide and have found the best quality swords which we offer to you through our web site. Many swords look and sound alike online, but never be confused with our sword selection. We do our best to take detailed photos and provide accurate descriptions on all of our products. We will provide you with the forge's information, the individual Japanese katana information as well as our opinion from testing and reviews. In order to keep the pages streamlined and easy to read we may leave some information out of our description.         Our goal is not to be the largest reseller of Japanese swords; it is to provide quality, authentic Japanese forged swords for practical use at an affordable price. We want everyone to be able to learn how and to use a Japanese sword safely and affordably.
